It started on construction sites across South Africa — Tembisa Police Station, Northam Platinum Mine, MTN Group HQ, Transnet, and Telkom HQ. Every day was a risk assessment. Every missed step could be fatal. That is where compliance stopped being a checkbox. It became non-negotiable.
From there: SAP implementation training and GRC for Anglo American — Kumba Iron Ore. Followed by IT leadership and then five years at Amazon Web Services (AWS) — three supporting critical security incidents for hundreds of AWS customers, including Tesla, Apple, Capital One, JP Morgan, ABSA, Capitec, and Vodacom. Two years as Technical Program Manager, turning tooling ideas for an 8000+ person organisation into live deployments measured weekly on quantifiable cost savings and performance gains.
Construction gave reins made of steel. SAP gave the map of how giants really move. AWS Security gave global-scale compliance under fire. AWS TPM gave the discipline of measured outcomes, not promises.
